Platform purpose
Joy Domestic Services connects South African households with verified domestic services workers. The platform supports customer verification, worker verification, service booking, Paystack payment records, job status tracking, customer confirmation, support tickets, disputes, reviews, worker wallet ledger records and withdrawal requests.
Account rules
- You must provide accurate registration, contact, identity, address, service and payment information.
- You must keep login details secure and must not share your account with another person.
- You must not upload forged, expired, altered, misleading or third-party verification documents.
- You must not abuse support, disputes, reviews, refunds, payment flows or worker withdrawal processes.
- You must not use the platform for illegal services, unsafe tasks, harassment, discrimination, fraud or payment bypassing.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must complete required verification before booking unless admin settings allow a limited booking mode. Customers must provide a safe service address, accurate booking details, lawful service instructions and timely access to the location. Customers must pay through the approved platform payment flow and must not pay workers outside the platform for a platform booking.
Worker responsibilities
Workers must complete required verification before receiving job offers. Workers must accept only jobs they can perform safely and professionally, arrive at the agreed address and time, update job status truthfully, protect customer privacy, avoid side arrangements, and request customer confirmation only after the work has been completed.
Booking status records
Booking status records are part of the platform evidence trail. The expected flow can include draft, awaiting payment, paid, searching for worker, offered to workers, accepted by worker, worker on the way, worker arrived, work started, work completed by worker, awaiting customer confirmation, completed and confirmed, payment released to worker wallet, withdrawal requested, withdrawal paid, cancelled, disputed, refunded or failed.
Payments and payouts
Customer payments are processed through Paystack-supported flows. Paystack references, transaction statuses and webhook logs are stored for booking and finance review. Worker earnings are tracked in the worker wallet ledger after completion confirmation or admin-approved release. Withdrawal requests are subject to minimum withdrawal settings, finance review and payout status tracking.
Disputes and support
Customers and workers should use support tickets and dispute tools when a booking, payment, safety issue or payout record needs review. Admin decisions may use booking status history, payment logs, verification records, communication records, support tickets, dispute evidence, reviews and safety reports.
Reviews and conduct
Reviews must be honest, relevant to the booking and free from threats, hate speech, private document details, payment manipulation or false claims. Joy Domestic Services may hide, remove or investigate reviews that create safety, privacy, abuse or legal concerns.
Suspension and restrictions
The platform may restrict, suspend, reject, pause or close accounts where verification fails, documents are suspicious, safety reports are raised, payment abuse is detected, disputes are abused, conduct rules are breached or platform integrity is at risk.
Limitations
Joy Domestic Services provides marketplace, verification, booking, support and payment-record tools. It does not guarantee that every booking will be accepted, completed, refunded, paid out or dispute-free. Platform decisions are made from available records and applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform, legal requirements, payment provider rules or safety processes change. The latest version shown on the website applies from the published review date.
